Roatan Local Market Presents
Doris with Island Honey

Being Corozal a community where %70 of the population lives on fishing, this project became an economic alternative for some of the local families. The project arrived in the community through the Roatan Marine Park, that started the required studies to see if vegetation and water were adequate to start with the production of honey. Nowadays, the Honeybee Producers of Corozal count with more than 100 beehives, developing as an economical alternative for 10 local families, that no longer depend on the marine life..
This delicious honey and its derived products (like medicated honey, soap, cream or shampoo) are 100% organic because they do not use any type of pesticide for the maintenance of the bees, nor artificial food.
